Embedded Software Engineer at Impulse Space Propulsion

Dan Morgan has been working in the industry since 2006. Dan's first role was as a Broadcast Television Installer at Bennett Systems. In 2014, they began freelancing as a Production Sound Mixer, taking on the role of department head and managing personnel in their department. In 2019, they joined the CSULB Beach Launch Team as Chief Engineer, Aerodynamics Lead, and Structures Team Member, where they were responsible for design, CAD modeling, FEA, and fabrication of elements of the B-1c rocket. In 2020, they joined Project Renegade as a Team Member, assisting in the design, manufacture, analysis, and testing of SLS printed rocket engines as well as serving multiple key roles for the vehicles that will serve as flight test platforms. Dan is currently employed at Impulse Space as an Embedded Software Engineer.

Dan Morgan began their educational journey at The Ohio State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Sports Management in 2009. Dan then attended Irvine Valley College, where they obtained an Associate of Science for Transfer in Physics and an Associate of Science for Transfer in Math in 2019. Finally, Dan is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Physics with an elective focus in Astronautical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
