John Bush

John Bush is an Embedded Software Engineer at Impulse Space, having begun this role in June 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Project Co-Lead at the USC Center for AI in Society's Student Branch, focusing on computer vision models, and as a Viterbi Fellow Researcher at the USC Robot Locomotion and Navigation Dynamics Lab, where significant contributions were made to robotics research. John also held research positions as an NSF Student Researcher at the same lab and has an internship background in HVAC design at Mawa Modular. John holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from USC Viterbi School of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California, along with a high school diploma from The Overlake School. Additional experience includes coaching fencing at the Rain City Fencing Center and various leadership and mentoring roles in educational settings.
