Eric Haverson has extensive experience in the motorsports industry, currently serving as the Director of Technical Compliance and Scrutineering at IMSA since October 2018. Prior to this role, Eric was the Crew Chief at CORE Autosport from February 2013 to October 2018 and held the position of Project Manager at NZR Consulting from January 2012 to January 2013. Additionally, Eric served as the Director of Operations and Technology for the Atlantic Championship Series between May 2005 and June 2010 and worked as a Mechanic/Crew Chief at Team Green from November 1992 to January 2003. Eric's educational background includes studies at Orange Coast College in 1985-1986 and graduation from Laguna Beach High School in 1984.

The International Motorsports Association, LLC (IMSA) is the premier sports car racing series in North America. The current sanctioning body was formed in 2013 due to a merger of Grand-Am Road Racing and the American Le Mans Series after being originally formed in 1969 and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2019. The series features the involvement of 19 manufacturers including Acura, Alfa Romeo, AMG-Mercedes, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mazda, McLaren, Mini, Nissan and Porsche. The sanctioning body leads seven motorsport platforms including the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier sports car racing series in North America. It also sanctions the IMSA Challenge and the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented, as well as four one-make series: Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama; Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama; Ferrari Challenge North America; and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. The heart-thumping action of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes place 12 weekends a year. The series visits iconic tracks such as Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, Watkins Glen International and Road Atlanta. Others include street circuits in Long Beach and Detroit, Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, Lime Rock Park, Road America, VIRginia International Raceway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. IMSA – a company within the NASCAR family – is the exclusive strategic partner in North America with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) which operates the 24 Hours of Le Mans as a part of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The partnership enables selected IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competitors to earn automatic entries into the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
