IMSLP (the Petrucci Music Library) is the world's largest free classical music library, home to over 855,000 scores, 95,000 recordings, and thousands of libretti and other musical texts — all freely accessible to musicians, students, educators, and music lovers everywhere.

Founded in 2006 by Edward Guo, IMSLP provides public domain and Creative Commons-licensed sheet music spanning every era, from Renaissance to contemporary. Our mission is simple: to make the world's musical heritage available to anyone with an internet connection.

Beyond our core library, IMSLP produces original media content for our growing community of 50,000+ followers on Instagram. Our Instrument of the Month series features artist interviews, educational content, and behind-the-scenes collaborations with world-class musicians. We're also building the IMSLP Excerpt Hub, a curated symphonic, opera (in collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), and ballet audition excerpt library.

Whether you're a professional performer preparing for an audition, a student exploring new repertoire, or a curious listener following along with a score, IMSLP is your library — open 24/7, no subscription required.
