In-Common Laboratories was founded in 1967 as a co-operative endeavour among three hospital laboratories (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, and the Ottawa Civic Hospital) and funded as a pilot project through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.  Due to the model's success, ICL was incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1975.

Our Canadian and US based strategic reference laboratory partnerships provide the best solutions to our clients. The referral network is consistently in contact with In-Common Labs' head office in order to drive high-quality service, superior turn-around-times and outstanding client care.
