Jonathan Pritchard

Jonathan brings expertise in statistical and computational methods to the study of genomics and evolutionary biology. He developed STRUCTURE, a widely used computer program for determining population structure. He is a professor in the departments of genetics and biology at Stanford University. Jonathan holds Biology and Mathematics degrees from Penn State, a PhD in Biology from Stanford, and he completed post-doctoral work in Statistics at Oxford University. He was awarded the Edward Novitski Prize for creativity and intellectual ingenuity in solving significant problems in genetics research and the Mitchell Prize from the International Society for Bayesian Analysis.
