Sofie Aesaert is currently the Team Lead in Strain Engineering and has a strong background in research and development. They previously held positions such as Senior Research Associate and R&D Team Lead at Inbiose and worked as a Research Associate at Ablynx and Agrosavfe. Sofie completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the University of Ghent, graduating with distinction. They have also contributed to research at CropDesign and VIB, and took time to travel the world between 2015 and 2017.
