INC’s existence as a provider of Design and Build services began 36 years ago in Sydney, Australia, when our now Chairman Andrew C. Barkman saw an opportunity to disrupt the traditional fit-out market and pioneer D&B procurement in the region. This led to the business expanding out of the region and into the Middle East to support clients that were breaking ground in the UAE. 

Sean Nicholson joined the business as Managing Director (now CEO) in 2014 and led INC to become one of the country’s leading providers of design and build services.

While many companies were downsizing during the pandemic, Sean saw an opportunity to establish a presence in Saudi Arabia and Africa, enabling INC to emerge stronger as a group. He capitalised on this opportunity to diversify into new markets and meet client needs beyond the UAE. As a result, INC is now the only design and build company offering services across more than 20 countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Our ability to offer the highest standards of construction services in the UAE, KSA, South Africa as well as a further 20 countries on the continent, sets the INC Group apart from its competitors.
