Utkarsh Agarwal's work experience begins in 2011 when they co-founded College Dhanda, a platform that aimed to simplify business for college students. In 2012, they organized TEDx BITSHyderabad. The following year, in 2013, they spoke at Blogathon.co, a skill development startup focused on helping individuals start successful blogs. Also in 2013, they became the VP of Marketing at BITS Spark, an initiative that supports and mentors entrepreneurs and startups. In 2014, Utkarsh founded Inc42, and they have been serving as its Founder since then. Additionally, in 2012, they became a Fellow for The Kairos Society, a global network of student and global leaders using entrepreneurship and innovation to address global challenges. Throughout their work experiences, Utkarsh has gained a range of skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship, marketing, event organization, and leadership.

Utkarsh Agarwal studied at Delhi Public School in India from 2000 to 2008, completing their High School education. Later, from 2010 to 2014, they attended Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BE).
