Jakob Laursen

Jakob Laursen has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006 as a substitute teacher at Brundlund Elementary School. Jakob then pursued a semi-professional handball career at SønderjyskE from 2006 to 2010. Laursen worked as a Treasurer at Agf Håndbold from 2012 to 2015.

In 2012, they joined Danske Commodities, where they held various roles including Trader Trainee, Trading Analyst, Portfolio Developer, and Business Intelligence Consultant. Jakob'sresponsibilities included process optimization, data analysis, and integration of products into the organization's workflow. In their role as a Student Employee, Laursen assisted the intraday trading team and developed tools for daily operations.

Since 2018, Laursen has been working at InCommodities, where they started as a Senior Business Developer before progressing to become a Lead Business Developer. Jakob'smost recent role is the Head of Business Solutions, which they have been holding since February 2023.

Jakob Laursen attended Aarhus University from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Cand.merc degree in Finance & International Business. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they studied at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. In addition to their formal education, Jakob obtained a certificate as an Epex Spot trader from EPEX SPOT in March 2015.
