Warda Basta

Warda Basta has worked for six companies over the past 15 years. In 2021, they joined Incorta as a Senior Agile Project Manager. In 2020, they joined Cegedim as a Scrum Master, where they were responsible for guiding and coaching the Development Team and organisation on how to use and sustain Agile/Scrum practices and values, effectively facilitating all Scrum events, assisting the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed, ensuring cross-team coordination, removing impediments and guiding the team to remove impediments, maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing, facilitating discussion, collaboration, decision making, and conflict resolution, taking responsibility for managing dependencies between their team and third parties or between their team and other scrum teams, and strengthening the presence of their team as an Agile centre of excellence. In 2019, they joined Sourced Group as a Project Manager. In 2017, they joined Temenos as a Project Manager/Scrum Master, where they were responsible for organizing and facilitating Project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and other Scrum-related meetings, assisting the product owner with backlog grooming, updating agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs, recommending improvements and assisting in changes to recommended practices, assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information, identifying and removing impediments, preventing distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal, planning and coordinating activities across multiple teams ensuring requirements are clearly communicated, ensuring that all aspects and all project deliverables receive the attention and resources required, managing client expectations and ensuring implementation is within the agreed scope and timeframe, supporting proper change and release management for successful production implementations, and creating presentation packages for executive review; gathering, analyzing, and reporting on project status. In the same year, they also joined VitalAire as a Project Coordinator. In 2006, they joined ITWorx as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, Team Leader, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, delivery and closure of software projects from inception till going live and handover to the operation & support teams, managing scope, risks, scheduling, and quality to ensure customer delight, and measuring and tracking projects progress and performance. Warda also joined Microtech in 2006 as a Software Engineer.

Warda Basta has a Bachelor of Computers and Information from Cairo University, obtained between 2001 and 2005. Warda has also obtained several certifications, including Becoming an Agile Coach from LinkedIn in December 2022, Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute in February 2017, Certified SAFe 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in January 2022, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile;Download Free Scrum Body of Knowledge(381 pages) in August 2018, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in January 2019.
