Michael Wimmer is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Legal Affairs Europe at Incyte since May 2020, Wimmer has previously held key positions including Senior Legal Counsel for GDD and Regulatory at Novartis Pharma GmbH from April 2018 to May 2020, and in corporate legal affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim from March 2013 to March 2018. Earlier legal experience includes working as an Associate Lawyer at Sträter Rechtsanwälte and as a Referent for medical product law and clinical trials at the Bundesverband der Arzneimittel-Hersteller e.V. Wimmer began a legal career in the Rechtsabteilung at FTI Touristik and holds a Staatsexamen in Rechtswissenschaft from The University of Bonn, achieved between 1997 and 2001.
