Mary Hamman

Mary Hamman is the Director of People Science at Indeed, where they lead a team focused on optimizing workforce analytics and advancing responsible AI. With a PhD in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University, they bring nearly 20 years of experience in academia and industry, particularly in retirement, aging, and long-term care research. Previously, Mary served as a Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and contributed as an Associate Director at the Center for Financial Security at UW-Madison. Their work is characterized by a commitment to transparent communication and equitable data practices, enhancing initiatives that empower both organizations and employees.
