Suyi Tu

Suyi Tu is a Principal Data Scientist with extensive experience at Indeed since July 2018, contributing to both Responsible AI and Metadata and Taxonomy initiatives. As a tech lead, Suyi has managed a team of six data scientists and has been pivotal in driving collaborations across Indeed's subsidiaries. Notable achievements include the introduction of an embedding-based retrieval approach, enhancing engagement metrics and query coverage. Prior roles at Indeed include Staff Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, and Product Scientist, following earlier internships at Didi Chuxing, Zhongda Futures, and a teaching position at the Hangzhou Zhijiang Chess Institute. Suyi holds a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Information and Computing Science from Zhejiang University, complemented by summer studies at UCLA.
