Yang Sun

Yang Sun is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in leading teams and driving innovation in various industries. Currently serving as a Data Science Technical Fellow at Indeed since August 2024, Yang has previously held the position of Senior Manager of Data Science at Disney Streaming Services from January 2020 to December 2023, where revitalization of A/B testing processes significantly improved experimentation rates and user engagement across major streaming platforms. Prior roles include Head of Growth at Sunvalleytek International Inc., where leadership of a team of 20 facilitated the development of a machine learning-based content marketing strategy, and Lead Data Scientist at Facebook, focusing on marketplace integrity. Additionally, Yang co-founded and served as CEO of raaslabs, a social marketing platform. Yang's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University and a BS in Physics from Peking University.
