Emily Lord

Emily Lord currently serves as the Director of Client Development at Independence Construction since May 2025. Previously, Emily held several positions at Higley Construction from June 2017 to May 2025, including Senior Director of Business Development, where responsibilities encompassed leading business development and marketing initiatives, as well as overseeing pursuit strategies and content creation for new project acquisitions. Emily also served as Director of Business Development, managing efforts in Northeast Ohio, and as Senior Manager of Business Development, focusing on creating business opportunities. Prior to this, Emily worked as a Field Engineer at HENSEL PHELPS from May 2010 to August 2013, handling various responsibilities related to project control and quality assurance. Emily holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Construction Management and Business Administration from Western Carolina University.
