Benjamin Spada is a lifelong California native born in Woodland. Though passionate for Creative Writing and Screenwriting in college, Benjamin felt a calling and decided to take a different path by enlisting into the United States Marine Corps in 2011.

Benjamin Spada began his writing craft during those brief moments of calm he was afforded on deployment and in the field. The Marine Corps has sent him to Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. Drawing inspiration from both the men and women he served with as well as the occasionally unbelievable experiences that can only happen in a military environment, Benjamin sought to craft stories the way only a Marine could. Unadulterated violence, gallows humor, and incomparable brotherhood are all a way of life in the military.

Benjamin Spada is a fitness enthusiast, taco connoisseur, and avid lover of all things geek. He now resides in San Diego with his loving wife Jackie, daughters Ellie, Bella & Alex and trusty guard cat Waldo. Currently he continues to prepare himself for war with nuclear zombies or nerve gas wielding vampires. Whichever comes first. FNG is Benjamin Spada’s debut novel.
