Andrea Risotto

Andrea Risotto is a mission-driven strategic communications professional with extensive experience in public awareness and media relations. They served as a Communications Officer for The Pew Charitable Trusts, leading the Global Ocean Legacy campaign, and held the role of Chief Communications Officer at The Brookings Institution from 2019 to 2024. Prior to that, Andrea was the Deputy Director of Communications for the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs and a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of the Treasury during the housing crisis. Currently, Andrea is the Vice President of Communications at Independent Sector, focusing on enhancing the charitable sector in the U.S., while pursuing a master’s degree in Latin American Studies at American University and holding a bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
