David Roper is a Group Winemaker at Indevin with over twenty years of experience in the wine industry. Previously, David served as the Senior Auckland Winemaker at Villa Maria Estate from 2015 to 2024, managing a premium winery and overseeing the production of award-winning single vineyard wines. David’s early career included roles as Assistant Winemaker and Cellar Hand, and a position as Microbiology Staff Technologist at Auckland DHB from 1996 to 2003. Education includes an Advanced Diploma from Auckland University of Technology and a Certificate in Winemaking from Eastern Institute of Technology.
