Indie Tech Sage focuses on responsible GenAI design and development; leveraging open source technology and tools including Ollama, vLLM, and ComfyUI.

Because there is no ROI related to the use of LLMs (if you’re waiting for one, you’re being conned), we focus on designing the most cost-effective AI technology stacks possible using only open-weight models. And providing sound, real-world advice for how to use Generative AI; and more importantly when not to use it.

The sad truth is that proprietary “frontier” models are black-boxed roulette wheels that might provide something of value; but probably not. They cost considerably more to run than they will ever generate in value.

Therefore, ensuring complete transparency across all aspects of the stack and its costs, including weights, tokens, water, and power consumption is critical to maintaining a sane balance of Generative AI use versus cost.

If you are starting to understand that the hype around GenAI is primarily a grift, please reach out.
