Jun Axup is a venture advisor at IndieBio, the world's leading seed-stage life science accelerator. Jun was previously the Chief Science Officer & Partner at IndieBio, where they oversaw the funding and advisement of over 170 biotech companies across all sectors. Some of the notable companies they have helped to grow include Upside Foods, NotCo, The EVERY Company, Prime Roots, New Culture, Endless West, Beeflow, NovoNutrients, Vertical Oceans, Geltor, OneSkin, Sun Genomics, Catalog Technologies, Gatehouse Bio, SyntheX, Prellis Biologics, Indee Labs, MycoWorks, Huue, and Lingrove.

Jun's journey in the biotech industry began as a scientist at Synthego Corporation, where they were the Biology Lead. Jun then moved on to Sutro Biopharma as a protein engineer before joining IndieBio. At each company, Jun has made significant contributions to advancing their cutting-edge technologies.

Jun holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jun Axup's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington. Jun then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Biology from Scripps Research.
