James Flannery

James Flannery is a senior lecturer at the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, where they teach Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Finance, and Business Planning. They co-founded dealmobs (2009–2012), which was acquired by Half Off Depot in May 2012. They currently serve as Managing Member of Athens Angel Fund (2012–Present) and co-founded Indiemark (2025–Present), providing privacy-compliant data monetization services. Earlier roles include Lecturer of Business Funding at the Tarkenton Institute (2015), Head of Growth at here! app (2013), Executive Director of Four Athens (2011–2016), Startup Catalyst – Athens at ATDC (2015–2018), Analyst at ThomasLloyd Capital (2006–2008), and Associate at Worldwide Capital Group (2008–2009), and they earned a Politics degree from Princeton University (2002–2006).
