Ben Travers

Ben Travers is the current head TV critic at IndieWire. Ben has also worked as an associate editor at PopMatters and a producer/engineer at Regent Communications. In February 2011, they began working as an on-set production assistant at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Ben was responsible for maintaining a calm, prepared set and blocking off shots. Ben also worked closely with the script supervisor. In May 2009, they began working at PopMatters as an associate editor. Ben was responsible for writing, editing, and organizing articles for a daily column. Ben also critiqued films on a weekly basis. In December 2002, they began working at Regent Communications as a producer/engineer.

Ben Travers attended the University of Iowa where they majored in cinematography and film/video production as well as journalism.
