Chris Rogers

Chris Rogers has extensive experience as a software engineer, with a focus on designing and implementing various applications and systems. Chris has worked in several companies, starting with Automated Insights in 2010, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer. At Automated Insights, Chris designed core Ruby tools for transforming structured data into narratives using natural language generation (NLG) and received two NLG patents.

In 2018, Chris joined Dandelion Energy as a Lead Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented an IoT app for remote control and monitoring of the company's field units. Chris also built tests using Docker Compose to validate the app's throughput and data integrity, while leading the creation of infrastructure for the company's core user-facing software.

From 2019 to 2020, Chris worked at Bubble as a Software Engineer, where they wrote infrastructure provisioning code to enable horizontal scalability of primary infrastructure. Chris also implemented type safety in the company's proprietary no-code programming language and pioneered a new caching system for versioned data chunks in the no-code app editor.

In 2020, Chris joined Venice Music as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed an app that allowed internal users to collect music royalties from multiple sources and divided them according to user-defined rules. Chris rebuilt failing ETL pipelines for revenue-critical data and achieved exactly-once ingestion through transactional locking.

Chris Rogers earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Chris studied Computer Science during their time at the university.
