Indigenous Eats is a Native-owned restaurant brand based in Spokane, Washington, serving contemporary Native American comfort food rooted in family traditions and Indigenous culture.

Founded by Yakama Nation tribal member Jenny Slagle and her husband Andrew, Indigenous Eats began with a simple idea: share the flavors many Native families grew up with—frybread, bison, and regional ingredients—in a welcoming, modern setting.

Since opening in 2022, Indigenous Eats has grown to two Spokane locations and developed a strong following for its signature frybread tacos, bison dishes, and huckleberry desserts.

More than a restaurant, Indigenous Eats is a platform for cultural storytelling, Indigenous entrepreneurship, and community connection. The team prioritizes hiring Native employees and sourcing ingredients from Indigenous and tribally owned producers whenever possible.

Indigenous Eats continues to expand its reach through catering, regional events, and a mobile food trailer designed to test new markets and bring contemporary Native cuisine to more communities.

Our long-term vision is to grow Indigenous Eats into a nationally recognized Native food brand while creating economic opportunity and celebrating Indigenous culture.
