A.j. Kumar

A.J. (Ashok) Kumar is a seasoned professional in sustainability and science, currently serving as the Vice President of Sustainability Sciences at Indigo since June 2019, where leadership focuses on quantifying ecosystem services and greenhouse gas impacts of agriculture. Previous roles include Senior Director of Carbon Science & Modeling and Director of Carbon Experimentation, contributing to agricultural decision-making and field research strategies. A.J. also holds the position of Scientific Director for Systems Innovation at mmnts, inc, and serves as Chief Scientific Officer and Scientific Advisor at Jana Care, orchestrating R&D strategy and partnership management to combat diabetes. A.J. completed a PhD in Applied Physics and an MS from Harvard University, alongside a BS in Physics from Stanford University, with earlier experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow and teaching consultant at Harvard, as well as a volunteer with the Peace Corps.
