Donald Nelson is a seasoned professional in agricultural science with extensive experience in product management and scientific research. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist and Product Manager at Indigo since 2017, focus areas include managing biological product development and collaborating on projects funded by BIRD with Groundwork BioAg. As a third-generation farm owner since 2016, Donald operates a corn and soybean farm in west central Minnesota. Previously, as a Senior Scientist and Monsanto Fellow at Monsanto Company from 1998 to 2016, contributions included leading validation and optimization of plant phenotyping techniques.
