John Fox

John Fox has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Indra Renewable Technologies since January 2023, after previously holding the position of VP Engineering and Technology from April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Advisor at DOCK-Y starting in June 2022.

John's experience in the academic sector includes a role as Program Director at the University of Warwick - WMG, where they led research and industrialization activities in the Micromobility sector from April 2019 to May 2022. John also worked as a Practice Manager in Business Planning at Energy Systems Catapult from January 2018 to April 2019.

Regarding their engineering background, John held prominent positions at GE Aviation and Rolls-Royce. At GE Aviation, they served as the Designated Technical Authority and System Design Lead for the Boeing 777X Electrical Load Management System project from February 2015 to January 2018. John also worked at Rolls-Royce as a Systems Design & Integration Engineer, Control System Sensors Team Lead, and Control Systems Software Engineer from 2007 to 2015.

Additionally, John gained international experience as a Powerplant Engineer at China Southern Airlines during a secondment period from July 2013 to October 2013. Before venturing into the aerospace industry, they started their career as a Teacher of Secondary Design Technology & Engineering at The Hucknall National School from September 2006 to August 2007.

John Fox attended the University of York from 2008 to 2012, where they completed an MSc in Safety Critical Systems Engineering - Gas Turbine Control. Prior to that, they studied at Nottingham Trent University from 2005 to 2006 and obtained a PGCE in Education. John began their higher education at Sheffield Hallam University from 2002 to 2005, earning a BSc with First Class Honours in Automotive Technology. In October 2012, John Fox received the Chartered Engineer certification from the Royal Aeronautical Society.
