Wael Ibrahim

Wael Ibrahim currently serves as the Regional Director for MENA at inDrive, a role commenced in October 2025, overseeing operations across the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan. Prior to this, Wael held significant positions at Careem, including General Manager for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Bahrain, as well as Country Head for Careem Egypt. Wael's previous experience includes serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Ahli United Bank Egypt, Group Chief Operating Officer at Finance House, and Chief Operating Officer at Emirates Islamic Bank, where a transformative growth strategy was implemented. Consulting experience as a Senior External Advisor at McKinsey & Company and as an Engagement Manager further highlights Wael's expertise in financial institutions in the MENA region. Wael's educational background includes an Executive Leadership program at Harvard Business School and an MBA and Bachelor's degree from The American University in Cairo.
