Gene Chee

Gene Chee is the Department Head of Model at Industrial Light & Magic in Sydney, specializing in character, creature, and environment modeling. With over thirteen years of experience in feature animation and film VFX, Gene has worked on acclaimed projects including "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Ready Player One," which won a VES award for Outstanding Created Environment. Previously, they held roles as a Modeler at Industrial Light & Magic and an Environment Technical Director at Framestore. Gene earned a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication from Birmingham City University and completed the Maya Core program at Escape Studios.
