Jane Porter is an accomplished editor and journalist with extensive experience in local news reporting and editing. Currently serving as Editor at INDY Week since January 2021, Jane previously held positions as Staff Writer/Editor at Raleigh Magazine and Senior Reporter at Raleigh Agenda. Jane's journalism career began at INDY Week, where contributions included covering Raleigh city news and state politics. Additional experience includes reporting for The News and Observer, teaching English in Japan, and providing employment resources for job seekers through Capital Area Council of Governments. Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a BA in English, Writing for Screen and Stage from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
