Nick Patel

Dr. Patel is an internist from Columbia, S.C. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College and attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. Following medical school, Dr. Patel completed his residency in internal medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida and Palmetto Health in Columbia, S.C. He has been at Palmetto Health for over 10 years and serves as the Medical Director of Midlands Internal Medicine. He is also the head of Ambulatory Medical Informatics at Palmetto Health. Dr. Patel has given multiple presentations in topics ranging from Healthcare IT transformation, workflow enhancements, and population health. He is managing the largest, first of its kind Microsoft Surface pilot in the nation, to improve workflow at Palmetto Health. Dr. Patel has also been instrumental in the development of the Bluetooth wireless transmitter and mobile application.VV
