Group Information Security Director at INEOS

Claudio Bolla has extensive work experience in the information technology and security field. Claudio began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1993. Claudio then worked as an IT Hardware Specialist at Hilton Hawaiian Village from 1994 to 1997. From 1998 to 2001, they held roles as a LAN Administrator and Information Technology Operations Specialist at EUROPEAN VINYLS CORPORATION (ITALIA) SPA.

In 2001, Claudio joined INEOS, where they held various roles over the years. Claudio started as an Information Technology Operations Lead from 2001 to 2003, then became a Regional IT Operation Manager for Italy, Belgium, and Spain from 2003 to 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as an IT Infrastructure & Project Manager for the Polyolefins Business after INEOS acquired Innovene. Claudio then became an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager for INEOS Olefins and Polyolefins Business Units from 2009 to 2012. During this time, they also served as the Group sponsor of the INEOS Global WAN.

From 2012 to 2016, Claudio took on the role of Group IT Procurement Manager, where they developed the IT procurement function for INEOS globally. Claudio then moved on to become the Group Network Manager and Group Information Security Director from 2016 to 2020. In these roles, they were responsible for managing the critical telecommunication infrastructures and information security practice for the entire INEOS Group.

Outside of their roles at INEOS, Claudio has served as a Member of the Board of Directors for ISACA Belgium since 2018. Claudio is also a Guest Lecturer at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (SBS-EM) - ULB since 2019. Additionally, they are a Benelux CISO Governing Body Member for Evanta, a Gartner Company since 2019.

Claudio Bolla completed their Bachelor's Degree in International Business from the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business in 1996. From 2000 to 2003, they attended SDA Bocconi to study Information Technology, and later pursued a Master's degree in Information Risk and Cybersecurity at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management from 2015 to 2016. Claudio also obtained several certifications, including a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2011, COBIT® 5.0 Foundation from APMG-International in 2015, and various certifications from Proofpoint in 2023 and 2024.
