Jia Wei

Jia Wei is a seasoned polymer chemist with extensive experience in catalyst and product development. Currently serving as a PP Catalyst and Product Development Scientist at INEOS since December 2018, Jia Wei previously worked as a Research Scientist at Formosa Plastics Corp, focusing on polyethylene catalyst development. Prior to that role, Jia Wei was a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Chicago, where significant contributions included the development of advanced palladium and nickel complexes for ethylene polymerization. Earlier academic experience includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Maryland, where Jia Wei conducted research expanding polyolefins through innovative polymerization techniques, and a Master of Science in Inorganic Chemistry from Nanjing University.
