Ciara Heavin

Ciara Heavin is a Professor in the Department of Business Information Systems and Co-Director of the Health Information Systems Research Centre at Cork University Business School, University College Cork. From 2002 to 2018, they served as a College Lecturer and later as a Senior Lecturer at the same institution. Currently, they hold the position of Chair of Business Analytics since 2025, and prior to that, they were a Professor from 2020 to 2025. Ciara also gained valuable experience as an intern at MFS Investment Management in 2000 and worked as a part-time lecturer and tutor at UCC from 2001 to 2002. They earned a BSc and MSc in Information Systems, as well as a PhD in Information Systems from University College Cork.
