Gillian Murphy is a Senior Lecturer in the UCC School of Applied Psychology, where their research focuses on cognitive "failures" in everyday settings, including false memories and misinformation susceptibility. Having completed a Ph.D. in Psychology at University College Cork, they also earned a Master's degree in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education with First Class Honours in 2023. Additionally, Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, achieved with First Class Honours. They have been a part of the UCC academic community since 2012.
