Jacob T. has a strong background in chemistry, beginning with a degree in Chemistry with Drug Discovery from the University of Bath, where Jacob graduated with First Class honors. Experience as an Early Discovery Chemist at Charles River Laboratories involved independent target design and synthesis in a client-facing role. Jacob then pursued a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Bath, focusing on scalable routes to complex compounds, under the supervision of Dr. Alex Cresswell, funded by Syngenta ICASE. Currently, Jacob serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University College Cork, specializing in photochemistry for API synthesis in collaboration with Pfizer, working under the guidance of Prof. Anita Maguire and Dr. Stuart Collins.
