Liam Plant

Liam Plant is a seasoned Renal Medicine Physician with extensive experience in medical education and administration. They served as a Consultant Renal Physician at Cork University Hospital from 2001 to 2024 and were also the Director at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice from 2016 to 2024. They held various leadership roles, including National Clinical Director at the HSE National Renal Office from 2009 to 2018 and Chair of the National Renal Strategy Review Group. Currently, they focus on undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training while continuing their involvement as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Medicine at University College Cork. Liam is also active in professional organizations, having served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Irish Nephrology Society in 2024.
