Marc McCarthy is an IT Analyst and Systems Administrator who has been supporting over 300 researchers and staff since 2012 at University College Cork (UCC). Currently, Marc works at APC Microbiome Ireland, where they manage computing systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and facilitate the digital transformation of research processes. As a College Council Member at UCC, Marc represents the Department of Microbiology and has also held roles such as High-throughput Robotics Specialist and Education Outreach Officer at the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre. Marc holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology from UCC.
