Marcel Jansen is a research leader in applied plant biology at University College Cork (UCC), where they oversee a group focused on plant ecophysiology and the impacts of environmental changes on plant growth. Currently, they lead five PhD students researching ultraviolet-B radiation, nano-particles, and wood-ash. Their previous experience includes roles at Wageningen Agricultural, Wye College, John Innes Centre, and University of Antwerp, where they contributed significantly to plant biology research and education.
