Mark Poustie

Mark Poustie is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in law and environmental studies. Currently a Visiting Professor at Dalian Ocean University Law School and Coastguard School since May 2018, Mark has previously held significant roles including Faculty Professor at Shanghai University of Finance & Economics (2014-2019) under the Thousand Talents Programme and as a Professor at the University of Strathclyde (1992-2024), where responsibilities included serving as Head of Law School and Vice-Dean for Internationalisation. Mark has also contributed to various institutions as a visiting lecturer and professor in environmental law at several universities in China and the United States, and serves as a Board Member for the Foundation for Law and International Affairs. Additionally, Mark has experience as a Linguist with the UK Government and as a Trainee Solicitor at Brodies LLP early in the career.
