Michelle Carr

Michelle Carr is a Professor of Accounting and the current Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance at University College Cork, Ireland. They are responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the department and their research focuses on management accounting, risk and crisis management, and performance systems in the contemporary workplace. Michelle has published extensively in reputable international accounting journals and authored a monograph on management control in healthcare. They serve on the Editorial Board of the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal and have held various advisory roles, including a member of the Audit and Risk Committee at Cork County Council. Michelle is also an active member of the European Accounting Association's Virtual Activities Committee and serves as an External Examiner in Accounting at University College Dublin.
