Tom Boland

Tom Boland currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in Social Theory at University College Cork, Ireland, since January 2020. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Lecturer in Sociology at Waterford Institute of Technology from September 2008 to December 2019, teaching courses such as Modern Social Theory, Sociology of the Media, Deviance and Literature, Political Sociology, and Historical Sociology. Additionally, Tom worked as a Part-time Lecturer in Social Theory and Political Sociology at University College Cork from September 2004 to May 2008. Tom Boland earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from University College Cork, following a comprehensive educational path that included a BA, MA, and Ph.D. in the same field, completed between 1998 and 2006.
