Sofia Torres

Sofia Torres is a medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and melanoma, currently practicing at Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte, EPE. They serve as a member of the Pharmacy Therapeutics Committee and have extensive experience as a clinical researcher with a focus on cancer genetics. Sofia completed a general internship at Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Central and held positions as a medical oncologist at IPO Lisboa and as a senior oncologist at UZA. They also had a notable tenure as a Clinical Research Fellow in Medical Oncology at Sunnybrook from 2013 to 2018. Currently, Sofia is a guest assistant at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lisbon and serves on the Executive Commission of the Health Technology Assessment Committee at INFARMED, I.P. They earned a medical degree from Universidade de Lisboa and are a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto.
