Ion Gherman

Ion Gherman is a Senior Cloud Native Developer with experience in various companies.

At Infinite Lambda, Ion's current role involves implementing a recurring payment system using Apache Kafka for creating an event-driven architecture. Prior to this, at the same company, Ion worked on a gaming project where they implemented an autosuggestion API for a game management tool, handling a high amount of data and indexing it in OpenSearch. Ion also contributed to rebuilding the back-end for a digital bank at Finteck, taking charge of a new card provider integration and managing the life cycle of cards and cardholders.

Before joining Infinite Lambda, Ion worked as a Java Software Developer at Softvision, where they were involved in building a fintech in the UK and had ownership over the service responsible for BACS payment scheme integration.

Ion also has experience as a Java Developer at Societe Generale European Business Services, where they developed standalone spring services and Java plugins that integrated with EMC Documentum and configured the EMC Documentum servers. Ion's skills in this role included Java 7, Spring Framework, OracleDB, ant, tomcat, and log4j.

Prior to that, Ion worked as a Software Developer at Planet Group International, where they also developed standalone spring services and Java plugins integrated with EMC Documentum.

Ion began their career as a Technical Support role at S.C "StarNet" and later worked as a Network Technician at 3G Telecom.

Overall, Ion Gherman has had a comprehensive work experience in software development and cloud-native development, with a focus on implementing systems and integrations for various industries.

Ion Gherman attended the Technical University of Moldova from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Licentiate Engineer degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Francophone. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications, including the MongoDB Certified Developer Associate Exam from Examity® in July 2018 and the Associate - Enterprise Content Management Version 1 certification from EMC in June 2014.
