Riccardo Mocchetti has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Riccardo worked at Infinite Lambda starting in August 2020 as the Director of Data Engineering. Prior to this, from May 2019 to August 2020, they worked at Container Solutions as a Cloud Native Engineer.
In 2018, Riccardo worked as a Freelance Big Data Architect and Engineer at Photobox Group, where they played a vital role in designing and implementing a new data platform capable of supporting real-time and batch reporting. Riccardo also promoted cross-team collaboration and data architecture best practices.
At Pearson, they worked as a Freelance Architect and Engineer from January 2018 to July 2018. During this time, they were involved in the delivery phases of integration APIs used by Pearson's products worldwide. Riccardo recruited new developers and QAs, implemented agile methodologies, and designed and developed microservices and a new testing strategy.
Riccardo's work experience at The Telegraph spans several roles. From January 2017 to December 2017, they worked as a Senior Solutions and Data Architect, leading the migration of the legacy travel platform to a microservices architecture. From January 2016 to January 2017, they served as a Solutions Architect, responsible for designing the BigData strategy and platform and developing a real-time measurement system. Riccardo also worked as a Senior Data Modeler and Developer from January 2015 to January 2016, contributing to the design of microservices for the product catalogue. Riccardo started their tenure at The Telegraph as a Data Modeler from May 2013 to January 2015, where they designed a real-time analytics platform and was responsible for data models for the semantic platform and core API services.
Throughout their career, Riccardo has utilized various technologies and tools including AWS, Python, Docker, Git, Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, MarkLogic, Amazon ECS, OWL, RDF, SPARQL, JSON-LD, and Elasticsearch.
Riccardo Mocchetti began their education by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Ingegneria informatica at Politecnico di Milano from 2007 to 2010. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Ingegneria informatica from 2010 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Riccardo Mocchetti has also achieved certification as The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified from The Open Group in November 2019.
