Yen Bui

Yen Bui has a diverse range of work experience in various analytical and database roles.

Starting in 2012, Yen worked as a Senior Database Administrator and BI Developer at Masan Resources, where they managed mining databases and developed additional database and reporting tools. They also coordinated with Australian Superintendents and Managers to design and implement databases and reports.

From 2016 to 2018, Yen worked as a Database Administrator at AS White Global, where they reviewed and approved developers' code, monitored and resolved SQL Server database issues, and provided training on database design and query optimization.

In 2018, Yen joined Vincere.io as a Database Administrator and Senior Data Analyst. They administered and managed PostgreSQL databases in AWS regions, monitored database performance using Datadog and pgwatch2, and optimized ETL processes.

Yen then moved to FinOS Technology Vietnam in 2019, where they served as a Senior BI Analyst Lead. They created and owned the APAC BI reporting and analytical environment, led the development and provision of self-service reports and dashboards, and utilized statistical and machine-driven techniques for advanced analysis.

In 2022, Yen joined BeSmitten - Luxury Dating as a Senior Analytics Consultant. They were responsible for developing high-quality dashboards and visualizations, collecting business requirements, managing MongoDB and data lake, and conducting ad-hoc analysis using AWS Athena.

Currently, Yen works as a Senior Analytics Engineer at Infinite Lambda, gaining intensive experience in modern data stacks like SnowFlake, Google Big Query, DBT, Looker, Tableau, and Spectacles.

Overall, Yen has a strong background in analytics, database administration, and data visualization, utilizing various tools and technologies to drive data-driven insights and improve business performance.

Yen Bui's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Ha Noi University of Mining and Geology, which was obtained from 2007 to 2012. In 2020, Yen also attended the Zero To Mastery Academy, where they studied Machine Learning and Data Science.

In addition to their formal education, Yen has obtained various certifications.
