John Wei

John Wei, PhD, MBA, serves as Sr Director at Applied Materials since October 2020 and has held various board observer roles at companies including Rescale, Infinitum Electric, Cornami, Inc., MakinaRocks, and Spectrum Materials Corporation Limited. John has also been a board member at Electroninks Incorporated since 2021. Prior to current roles, John was involved in venture capital at SABIC, focusing on investments in petrochemical, materials, energy, sustainability, advanced manufacturing, and agriculture from September 2014 to October 2020. Educational credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University, an Executive MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and participation in programs on negotiation at Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
