Andre Paim e Souza

Andre Paim e Souza has a diverse work experience in project management and engineering roles in the chemical industry. Andre started their career in 1988 at Dow, where they held various positions, including Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Manager, and Engineering Manager. During their time at Dow, they successfully implemented multiple capital projects with a total value of over US$ 230 million, achieving zero safety incidents. Andre also managed the Chlorine, Caustic, Hydrogen, and Utilities areas, overseeing a capacity of 1150 MT/day of liquid Chlorine.

In 2012, Andre joined Sadara Chemical Company as a Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager. Andre was responsible for delivering a megaproject worth US$ 500 million, involving the implementation of a Tank Farms project for the Sadara Project in Al Jubayl.

From 2019 to 2020, Andre worked at Covestro as a Project Director, leading capital investments related to a petrochemical complex expansion in Baytown, Texas. Andre developed capital investment plans for three business units and successfully managed a total expansion plan costing US$ 2 million.

From 2020 to 2022, Andre worked at PPG Industries as the North America Capital Portfolio Leader for their Industrial Segment. In this role, they were responsible for leading capital planning and project execution excellence across the region, ensuring effective usage of capital resources and generating value for the company and its assets.

From 2022 to 2023, Andre held the position of Global Project Director at Nouryon, where they played a key role in managing global projects.

Currently, Andre works at Infinium as a Project Director, starting in 2023.

Andre Paim e Souza attended Universidade Federal da Bahia from 1984 to 1989, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Process and Production Engineering. Subsequently, from 1997 to 2000, they enrolled at Universidade Estadual de Campinas for post-graduation studies. There, they focused on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
