Vice President - Engineering and Business Development at Infintium

Robert Clippard has a diverse work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Robert is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering and Business Development at Infintium since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Proterra Inc as a Director of Systems Engineering, where they led the design and implementation of hydrogen fuel cell technology for industrial vehicle applications.

Before joining Infintium and Proterra Inc, Clippard held various positions at Proterra and Daimler Trucks North America. At Proterra, they were the Manager of Control Systems Integration from January 2019 to June 2021, where they led a team of engineers in developing EV transit bus integration software. Robert also served as the Manager of Vehicle Development - Electrical and Controls from October 2017 to January 2019, focusing on integrating high and low voltage systems for battery electric transit buses.

Prior to Proterra, Clippard worked at Daimler Trucks North America as a Senior Design and Test Engineer from September 2011 to March 2014.

Earlier in their career, they were an Embedded Systems Engineer at PowerSecure from January 2003 to March 2006, where they led a team in designing, developing, and implementing embedded systems. Robert also worked as a Development Engineer at PowerSecure during the same period.

Clippard's academic background includes being a Graduate/Undergraduate Engineering Student at North Carolina State University from January 1998 to January 2004. During their time there, they gained extensive knowledge and skills in the field of engineering and conducted research projects. Robert was also selected as a Teaching Assistant during their graduate school studies.

Robert Clippard completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University in 2002. Robert then went on to obtain a PhD in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University, graduating in 2011. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.
